The Lady Elizabeth School is an international primary and secondary school in Cumbre del Sol, Benitachell, for pupils aged 1 to 18. Our story starts in 1987 and today we are a fully consolidated school with over 30 years’ experience. We offer our pupils a team of over 200 professionals and fantastic educational facilities.
Our ultimate goal is to guarantee all pupils have the necessary preparation to gain access to the best Spanish and international universities. To achieve this, we follow the British curriculum complemented in each stage with the necessary additional education: validation for the Spanish system (secondary) and university entrance exam (baccalaureate).
We call our educational method “Amazing Learning”. We help each pupil to exceed their expectations and surprise themselves with their own achievements. Whether through academic guidance, participating in after-school activities or a study plan, we focus on recognising, fostering and highlighting the individual skills and talents of each pupil.

WHY CHOOSE US?
Our British curriculum teachers love teaching and have many years of regional and international experience.
Strong emphasis on academic standards. Our results are always excellent, with both GCSE and A-Level students and students sitting the Spanish university exam well exceeding the national average grades in both countries.
OUR FANTASTIC CAMPUS
Privileged location, modern classrooms, laboratories, two swimming pools, theatre and canteen with kitchen, and many other facilities.
MUSIC AND ART
At our school we promote music and the arts, offering pupils the chance to use their creativity and develop their confidence.
We offer a wide range of after-school activities and unique international opportunities for secondary pupils, such as the Marine Science Programme, Model United Nations and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Our school is managed by the International Schools Partnership (ISP), a worldwide group of 47 schools in 13 countries. It provides us with excellent international connections for learning, guaranteed quality and management.
Our objective in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is to provide your child with a safe, stimulating and caring school environment. Our enthusiastic teaching staff is specifically qualified for pre-school education and understands how young children learn, allowing them to ‘improve’ their understanding, skills and knowledge.
From Year 1 to Year 6 we follow the British National Curriculum in English and Mathematics, and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) in all other subjects. This curriculum is designed to prepare children for a constantly changing, increasingly more connected world. Although we cannot be sure of the type of work children will have in the future, we must teach them to be flexible, persistent, respectful and motivated; they must be able to cooperate and communicate with others from around the world.
Secondary pupils come into contact with a wide range of subjects so they can start to plan their professional life. They continue with the English curriculum, along with the validation of the Spanish curriculum (Language and Literature, Valencian and Social Science). In Key Stage 3 they study Spanish, German or French as foreign languages, these subjects are available as electives at GCSE and A Level. German is also taught as a first language in Key Stage 3 for GCSE and A Level exams.
In Sixth Form (Baccalaureate), our pupils continue acquiring knowledge and developing both academic and social skills in order to achieve the highest academic level. They are free to choose carefully targeted subjects along with their tutor and parents, depending on the degree they want to study and their future ambitions. We also prepare the subjects they need for the Spanish curriculum “Voluntary PAU Phase (University Entrance Exam)”.
Spacious sports facilities: 25-metre indoor swimming pool, multi-sport astro turf pitch (artificial grass), outdoor pitch and gymnasium with stands.
Spacious, bright and modern classrooms, all equipped with interactive boards and adapted to children with wide doors leading to individual, closed playgrounds and shaded recreational areas suited to each age, with soft flooring to protect from falls and excellent play facilities.
Five science laboratories, ICT rooms with the latest digital learning technology, and a fully equipped kitchen for food science classes.
Excellent facilities for teaching art, music and performing arts, such as a theatre with large capacity, music rooms, recording studios, performing arts and dance, and a photography studio.
CANTEEN AND CAFETERIA
A bright and spacious canteen serving meals daily and a cafeteria with lots of seating for pupils.
SIXTH FORM AREA
A specific area for Sixth Form (baccalaureate) pupils with a small kitchen and areas for study and socialising, creating a wonderful environment where our Year 12 and 13 pupils can collaborate, socialise and relax.
ISP BUDDY EXCHANGE PROGRAMME
This programme offers pupils aged 14 to 17 the chance to go on a one-month exchange with ISP schools from around the world. Our pupils can discover other people, cultures and countries, another great learning experience.
ISP SUMMER CAMP
Summer camps where our pupils get together with children from other ISP schools worldwide. They enjoy a multicultural experience in New Orleans where they learn about the history of the USA and how so many different cultures have influenced the American culture, and also how this culture influences current affairs.
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FAIR
The Lady Elizabeth School offers career, university, social and emotional guidance to all secondary pupils, and we will continue to open as many doors as possible for our baccalaureate pupils to prepare their access to the best Spanish and international universities, and guarantee that they remain at the forefront of school opportunities in all subjects.
Other initiatives, such as the annual job fair, psychometric tests and work experience, offer pupils added opportunities to explore possible careers.
MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model United Nations conferences are held all over the world and attended by thousands of pupils. They are designed to help them improve their research and oratory skills, as well as to develop leadership and confidence speaking in public. Pupils must learn to think quickly, and prepare and defend arguments for and against real international topics to represent their respective countries.
OF EDINBURGH AWARD
We are one of the few secondary schools in Spain to grant the International Duke of Edinburgh Award, a programme for young people founded in the United Kingdom to recognise teenagers and young adults for completing a series of personal improvement exercises. Obtaining the award is a personal challenge and not a competition; it helps young people overcome their own personal limits and recognises their achievements.
We are part of a worldwide group of schools.
International Schools Partnership is a group of specialised, prosperous and financially sound schools with centres in 11 countries spread around Europe, America, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
